Ben Cruz Interview and Shred In Tuscany

It seems it is not unusual to find ammunition mixed in with Ben’s pocket change when he has to empty his trousers before putting them in the washer (see his Facebook page). Yes Ben Cruz might be considered bad ass, he was happy to know he was riding in a wild boar hunting area in Tuscany, which he says he loves to hunt back home, plus playing with his other toys on his property in the woods.┬áHis bike skills are aggressive, and he likes to go fast, mixed with a super level of fitness, crazy sense of humour and also he is the Cannondale side kick to Jerome Clementz. It could be that he is the most wide open of all Enduro riders.

Video Interview and Shred

Pictures and Background

Ben came to ride the trails in the Bandite area and Massa Marittima, really ripping hard down Il Cicalino freeride.

Ben hits corners hard and fast and is one of the fastest North American riders in Enduro. He spends a lot of time in Europe riding races and training.

Jerome Clementz is his team buddy and he also races with him. Although he should not be considered the lesser rider…

This little modification to his bike seems to explain most things…

Ben’s bike is a Cannondale Jekyll with Shimano XTR and WTB accessories. Ben was clear that the wheel set was super strong and he didn’t need to do anything to them since he took them out of the box in the WTB warehouse where he works, when he is not riding. It was hard to understand how much he was working though as he seems he is always riding, testing, or doing the planning to ride or race.

Ben will be representing the USA at the Superenduro of Nations in Sauz d’Oulx and continuing his quest to make Enduro big in the states.
